“Land management was a big part of our lives out in the bush. Burning off the growth from the year before in winter was a must to bring back the Wallabies for green pick and to take away the risk of a big dangerous fire. It was cool, there was no wind and it was a perfect time to do a winter burn. Looking back it was something the generations before had done for thousands of years, we were privileged to be a part of something that old.”
